The Castle On Post To Celebrate Official Opening in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield's new restaurant, The Castle on Post, will hold its official ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

The restaurant's owners are Patrick Clyne, former owner of Black Rock Castle, and Kevin O’Halloran. Clyne moved to the United States from Leitrim, Ireland in 1984 and O'Halloran moved from Dublin, Ireland in 1997. Both eventually settled down in Fairfield to raise their families.

Both have managed restaurant bars for a number of years, and most recently, Clyne was the bar manager at the popular Gates Restaurant in New Canaan, which closed in April 2015. O'Halloran had a long run at The Field in Black Rock before recently working at The Little Pub in Greenwich.

First Selectman Mike Tetreau will cut the ribbon promptly at 4 p.m.

The Castle on Post is located at 222 Post Road, Fairfield.
